Press Releases

We’re sending out current press information by mail and will be happy to add you to our distribution list. Here are our press releases for the Munich Climate Camp (German).

Press Conference

Our press conference will be held on May 29th from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. at the camp (behind the Glyptothek at Königsplatz). Organizers and workshop speakers will talk about the camp and program content. There will be the opportunity to ask questions, conduct interviews afterwards and make image and sound recordings of the camp. Accreditation is not required. So far, representatives of the following groups have confirmed their participation:

  • Camp organization
  • VCD München
  • Rehab Republic
  • Psychologists For Future
  • Kharis Ikoko (Kokonelle)

Camp Tours

There will be a public camp tour every day, where we will guide all interested visitors to the individual areas of the camp and members of the organizing teams will report on their activities at their workplace. Journalists are very welcome to participate as visitors. Additionally, video and audio recordings of the camp will be possible during the guided tour on Friday, May 31, 11:45 a.m. – 12:15 p.m.

Reporting from the Camp

The climate camp as a public assembly is open to everyone and we are happy to receive media coverage. However, as some of the participants will be living at the camp all day, we ask you to respect their privacy. In addition, there will also be people at the camp who are particularly vulnerable and who do not wish to be photographed or filmed due to past or current experiences. We therefore ask you to observe the following fairness rules for image and sound recordings at the camp:

From Thursday through Sunday, you may visit the camp daily between 11:30 a.m. and 12:00 noon to report and take video and sound recordings. Please simply register at the information tent on site. We will be happy to provide interview partners or support for your camp visit according to your wishes. Also outside of this time slot interviews with the organizers are possible at any time by arrangement – please contact us in advance or report to the information tent.

Visits to the camp and its events without recording video or audio are of course welcome at any time, except during the daily camp plenaries (usually from 1:30-2:00 p.m. and from 6:00-7:00 p.m.), where we would like to be undisturbed.
